In June 2021 the Albanian Institute of Transport installed and put in function the Public Normal Charging Point purchased in the frame of pilot actions of EnerNETMob project. Though the equipment was delivered in April 2021, there were some administrative delays for its location and procedures of installment. The location is within the premises of a public parking lot of “Air Albania Stadium”. This parking lot has a lot of slow chargers for EV, but the Normal Charging Point we installed (with two poles/outlets) is the first there.

Considering that there are few public normal and fast charging points available in Albania (most of normal and fast charging points belong to taxi operators or companies who use them exclusively for their electric vehicles), the public normal charging point procured through EnerNETMob project is an added asset for all EV drivers in Tirana.

Also, in the frame of pilot actions of EnerNETMob, the Albanian Institute of Transport rented a 100% New Electric Vehicle from June 2021 till the end of project. The EV is a Hyundai Kona, it has been tested successfully and is used by AIT staff for daily job.
